At Mountain Rain Renovations we do our best to be transparent, but with that said every home is unique, and has a lot of site specific details that can influence the final cost. Without seeing the space and fully understanding the scope of work, it’s difficult to offer a precise quote. That said, the pricing ranges below are designed to give homeowners in Calgary a realistic idea of what to expect when budgeting for different types of renovations. These numbers reflect typical projects in the area, but an on-site consultation is always the best way to determine accurate pricing tailored to your specific home and goals.

In Calgary, the average cost of a home renovation per square foot varies quite a bit depending on the scope and level of work you’re doing, but typical ranges you can expect are roughly:

Basic Cosmetic Or Light Renovation: around $120 – $190 per sq ft for general home renovations (paint, flooring, minor updates).

Moderate Renovation (kitchen, bath, flooring, some reconfiguration): often fall in the $200 – $300 per sq ft range.

Extensive High-end Renovation: prices can go above $300 + per sq ft, especially in older homes or projects requiring major upgrades.

High-End Kitchen Renovation $60,000 – $90,000+

High-end kitchens often involve structural changes, premium materials, and highly customized design. Typical scope may include custom cabinetry, premium stone countertops, large island, electrical upgrades, plumbing changes and layout changes.

Basic Refresh / Cosmetic Update: ~$5,000 – $10,000 — simple updates like new fixtures, paint, lighting, flooring, and minor cosmetic changes.
Budget / Powder Room Renovation: ~$5,000 – $15,000 — ideal for small bathrooms or partial updates without moving plumbing.
Mid-Range Remodel: $15,000 – $30,000 — most common full bathroom renovation with upgraded finishes and some layout changes.
High-End / Luxury Renovation: $30,000 – $60,000+ — larger bathrooms and ones with premium materials, custom cabinetry, heated floors, frameless glass showers, etc.
